Job Opportunity: Domestic Abuse Family Support Specialist (With Childcare) Women Only (Occupational Requirement)?? Location: Across sites in Central Northampton & Northamptonshire?? Hours: 37 hours/week, flexible over 5 days (including evenings & on-call rota)?? Contract: PermanentWere looking for a compassionate, driven, and experienced Domestic Abuse Family Support Specialist to join our team supporting women, children, and young people affected by domestic abuse.Occupational Requirement: This post is open only to women who are recorded female at birth and are not transgender (Schedule 9, Equality Act 2010).What Youll Do:Provide holistic support to families impacted by domestic abuseDeliver person-centred interventions across five key outcome areas: physical survival, safety, belonging, self-worth, and purposeWork in partnership with internal teams and external agenciesDeliver group work and assist with childcare and childrens activitiesManage a caseload and maintain accurate recordsEssential Requirements:Relevant Level 3 childcare/youth qualification (e.g. NVQ Early Years, NNEB)Proven experience supporting vulnerable individuals/families with complex needsStrong understanding of safeguarding, risk assessment, and trauma-informed practiceExcellent communication, crisis management, and record-keeping skillsFlexible, proactive, and team-oriented approachFull driving licence and access to own transport (or ability to travel effectively across the county)Willingness to work unsocial hours and be part of an on-call rotaMust be currently living free from violenceWhat We Offer:The opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a supportive, empowering environmentOngoing training and professional developmentCollaborative and trauma-informed team cultureHelp women and families build safer, more hopeful futures join us.
