Are you a qualified Drama & English Teacher seeking a stable, long-term opportunity in a supportive secondary school?
Academics are working with a welcoming school in Newcastle-under-Lyme, easily accessible from Stoke-on-Trent, who are looking to appoint a committed Drama Teacher - with the ability to teach some English - from May half-term. This is a full-time maternity cover initially through to the summer term, with potential for extension for the right candidate.
The Role:
* Teach Drama and English across KS3 and KS4
* KS5 teaching desirable but not essential
* Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons
* Take on full planning, marking, and assessment responsibilities
* Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback and support
The Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Drama, English, or a related subject (essential)
* Recent experience teaching Drama and/or English
* Confident teaching KS3-KS4 (KS5 advantageous)
* Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management
* Reliable, professional, and committed to a long-term placement
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to apply)
