Academics are working with a secondary school in Newcastle-under-Lyme, easily accessible from Stoke-on-Trent, who are seeking a committed teacher to join their team from May half-term. This is a full-time maternity cover, initially running through to Christmas 2026, with potential for extension for the right candidate.

About the Role:

* Teaching Drama across KS3 and KS4
* KS5 teaching desirable but not essential
* Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons
* Full planning, teaching and assessment responsibilities
* Track and monitor student progress, providing feedback and supporr

Ideal Applicant:

* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Drama or a related subject (essential)
* Has recent experience teaching Drama in UK secondary schools
* Is confident teaching KS3 and KS4 (KS5 benefifical)
* Demonstrates strong classroom management and behaviour strategies
* Is reliable, professional, and able to commit to a long-term placement
