Design Technology Technician

Location: Ashford, Surrey Contract: Full time, long term temporary with potential to become permanent Start: Immediate start Pay: £100 - £140 per day depending on experience and qualifications

Ethos Education is recruiting a Design Technology Technician to work in a secondary school in Ashford. This is a full time position starting immediately to support the Design Technology department with workshop preparation, equipment maintenance and technical support for practical lessons.

The role

The Design Technology Technician will support teachers and students during practical Design Technology lessons and ensure that workshop spaces, tools and materials are organised, safe and ready for use.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing tools, materials and equipment for Design Technology lessons • Maintaining and servicing workshop machinery and equipment • Supporting teachers and students during practical activities where appropriate • Ensuring safe storage of materials and tools • Managing stock and ordering workshop materials • Maintaining workshop organisation and health and safety standards
