EA to Global Senior Partner - Law firm - up to 65k - 3 days in office

The Opportunity

This is a rare opportunity for an accomplished EA to support one of the most senior leaders within a global professional services organisation. The role sits at the heart of the firm's governance and leadership structure and will appeal to EAs who are already operating at Managing Partner, Chair, or Board level and are seeking a role with genuine strategic exposure and influence.Working closely with the Global Senior Partner, you will act as a trusted adviser, gatekeeper and organiser, enabling the effective running of the firm's leadership agenda across multiple jurisdictions. This is a role for someone who enjoys complexity, discretion and responsibility, and who thrives in an environment where judgement and credibility matter as much as technical skill.

The Team

You will be part of a small, highly regarded Secretariat team that provides executive, governance and organisational support to senior leadership and partners globally. The team is collaborative, discreet and professional, with a reputation for operating at the highest standard and for being deeply embedded in the firm's leadership infrastructure.

The Role

The Executive Assistant will provide high-level, confidential and proactive support to the Global Managing Partner. The remit is broad and intellectually engaging, encompassing governance, partnership processes, strategic projects and senior stakeholder management across time zones.You will be responsible for anticipating priorities, managing complex workflows and ensuring that leadership, board and partner processes run smoothly, efficiently and to an exceptional standard.

Key Responsibilities

Executive & Strategic SupportEnd-to-end diary and travel management, including complex international schedules and visa requirementsActing as a trusted gatekeeper and first point of contactDrafting correspondence, communications and briefing materials on behalf of the Global Senior PartnerPreparing action lists, follow-ups and reminders to ensure delivery against prioritiesManaging expenses and maintaining robust electronic filing and recordsGovernance, Boards & CommitteesCo-ordinating senior partner, board and committee meetings, including agendas, papers, attendance and minutesAttending meetings, producing high-quality minutes and driving actions to completionManaging voting processes, outcomes and records with accuracy and discretionMaintaining governance documentation and audit trailsPartnership & Appraisal ProcessesSupporting partner appraisal cycles across jurisdictionsLiaising with senior stakeholders, finance and HR to compile appraisal materialsTracking feedback, progress and outcomes against agreed timelinesProducing analysis, trackers and summary schedules for leadership reviewStrategic Projects, Growth & TalentSupporting partner recruitment, promotions and lateral hiresPreparing papers, voting packs and communications for leadership and partnership decisionsLiaising with senior talent, finance and legal stakeholders to finalise offers and documentationMaintaining progress updates and supporting strategic growth initiativesClient & Thought Leadership SupportCo-ordinating senior client listening initiatives and leadership-level business development activitySupporting thought leadership activity, including podcasts and senior-level engagementsActing as a liaison between leadership, clients and internal teamsEvents & Partner EngagementOrganising senior partner meetings, dinners, conferences and leadership eventsManaging logistics, attendee lists, seating plans and follow-up communicationsCollaboration & Team SupportProviding cover and support to other senior EAs during peak periods or absenceSharing best practice and contributing to consistent, high-quality executive support across the firm

Skills & Experience

Substantial experience as an Executive Assistant supporting Managing Partner, Chair, Board or equivalent senior leadership within a law firm or comparable professional services environmentStrong governance experience, including boards, committees, minute taking and action trackingAdvanced Microsoft 365 capability (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Confidence managing complex documentation, voting processes and confidential materialExceptional written communication skills and attention to detailProven ability to work across multiple time zones and manage competing priorities
