Are you ready to make a real difference from the very start of your teaching career?

We’re looking for an Early Career Teacher to join a warm, specialist SEN school in Barking starting after Easter, working with Early Years, Year 1, or Year 3 pupils. Here, every child is seen, heard, and supported, especially those who are non-verbal or have complex communication needs.

From day one, you’ll be part of a team that celebrates small wins, values your growth, and knows that teaching is about more than just lessons on a timetable. You’ll see the impact of your work in smiles, breakthroughs, and moments that truly matter.

Why this role is special:

Small classes, big impact – strong TA support and predictable routines
Guided growth – mentoring from experienced SEN practitioners
A school that cares – leadership who prioritises wellbeing and staff development
Real connection – work closely with non-verbal pupils and help them communicate in ways that change their world
Meaningful progress – every achievement, no matter how small, is celebratedThis is a school that truly invests in Early Career Teachers. After two successful terms, you’ll begin your ECT 2 Year induction, giving you a fully supported route to complete your training and grow your career. What this means for your career:

Complete your ECT induction in a supportive environment
Build experience with SEN and non-verbal pupils from the start
Work alongside experienced mentors who guide your growth every step of the way
Gain confidence teaching small, structured classes
Open the door to long-term career opportunities within the schoolHere, you’re not just teaching, you’re building trust, creating understanding, and helping children find their voice. You’ll watch your pupils grow in ways that go far beyond grades or test scores.
