Aleading high-hazard chemical manufactureris seeking anexperienced Senior EC&I Engineerto join their team at theirTraffordsite. This company operates in ahighly regulated COMAH environment, ensuring the reliability and safety of its plant operations while delivering innovative solutions in the chemical and process industries.
As aSenior EC&I Engineer, youll report directly to the Engineering Manager and play a critical role in ensuring plant reliability, compliance, and continuous improvement. Youll work across multi-million-pound projects, supporting maintenance, fault-finding, and process control upgrades, all while maintaining strict adherence to COMAH, ATEX, DSEAR, and functional safety regulations.

Senior EC&I Engineer Requirements:

  • Degree (or HNC/HND) in Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineering
  • 510 years EC&I experience in high-hazard chemical, petrochemical, or industrial environments
  • Expertise in process control (PLC, DCS), instrumentation, and functional safety
  • Knowledge of ATEX/DSEAR and COMAH regulations
  • Proficiency in electrical design, SIL verification, and compliance
