Electrical Bias Building Services EngineerLocation: Canary Wharf Hours of Work: 7am to 7pm, 4 shifts on 4 shifts off

A great opportunity for a Electrical Bias Building Services Engineer to join a leading building service provider's corporate team for a role working days at Canary Wharf.


Job Summary:

To main focus for the Electrical Bias Building Services Engineer will be to undertake maintenance tasks as directed by the Engineering Supervisor. The Shift Engineer will work with a small team of maintenance staff on a rotating day shift rota, weekend working will be required. The Shift Engineer will carry out planned maintenance tasks and varied unscheduled work.


Main Responsibilities:

  • To identify and diagnose faults and to carry out repairs, adjustments and other maintenance works as appropriate.
  • To carry out the required routine servicing, repair or adjustment of plant or machinery in accordance with the planned maintenance schedule as tasked by the Building Control Co-ordinator.
  • To monitor plant as tasked and to record data using the supplied documentation.
  • To adopt a flexible approach in respect of other skills or trades to ensure the most cost effective completion of all tasks.

The Person:

  • City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
  • Previous experience working in a modern building services maintenance environment, and able to demonstrate basic understanding of HVAC and building services.
  • 18th Edition desirable.
  • To have an enthusiastic and positive attitude.
  • To be tidy and presentable at all times.
  • Be able to work as a team member and to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Client facing
