Guidant Global is partnering with our client, a trusted ally of the UK's Ministry of Defence, to recruit a skilled Electrical Calibration Operator.

This role involves performing regular calibration of Special to Type Test Equipment (STTE) and Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) equipment.

Key Responsibilities: Performing in a multi-disciplined team to support the Operations team.

Initial calibration, routine calibration and maintenance of test and measurement equipment.

Assure that factory and proprietary test and measuring equipment is kept in line with current procedures.

Carry out calibration and repair tasks following departmental processes and procedures.

Generating clear and exhaustive calibration/maintenance records for traceability purposes.

What do you need?: Electrical/Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Apprenticeship (Advanced Level or L3 Standard or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 3 academic qualification (ONC, diploma, etc.) and Electrical/Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Level 3 vocational qualification (NVQ) Not required if a L3 apprenticeship standard has been achieved (These qualifications must meet the standard to be considered for the role).

Additional Skills: Develop clear and comprehensive calibration & maintenance records.

Experience in calibrating COTS/Special to Type Test Equipment Experience working on Environmental Stress Screening Facilities (ESS) is desirable.

Knowledge in calibrating electrical test equipment such as Power Supplies, Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Function Generators, etc.

Understanding In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment Capable of following the manufacturers instructions, and an excellent understanding of SAP would be desirable.
