Role: Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation Engineer

Location: Commutable from the West Yorkshire region

SRG are currently recruiting for an EC&I Engineer to lead maintenance strategy, compliance and technical delivery across a processing environment. This is a hands‑on role with real autonomy, responsibility and visibility.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

Lead site-wide EC&I maintenance strategy, proactive and reactive
Act as Responsible Person for electrical work, isolations & LOTOTO (415V/110V/240V)
Ensure compliance with DSEAR, COMAH and functional safety standards
Oversee all instrument calibration, loop checks and verification
Maintain and develop DCS systems in partnership with automation/IT
Provide EC&I technical leadership across all projects, including design reviews, FAT/SAT and commissioning
Support HAZOPs, risk assessments, and safety case development
Ensure accurate technical documentation and CMMS data
Work cross‑functionally with Operations, Maintenance and Projects to improve safety, reliability and efficiency.

Criteria:

C&G 18th Edition & Electrical Installation
DSEAR / COMPEX experience
Strong planning, problem-solving and contractor management skills
Knowledge of HSWA, CDM, DSEAR and safe systems of work
Confident with RAMS, PTW and risk assessments
Clear communication and solid stakeholder management
IEC 61508 / 61511 SIL knowledge.
