Looking for a new Electronic Design Engineer to join a team and help design, develop and build bespoke functional test systems.This role can develop into a managerial role. The Role:Work closely with customers to gather requirements, propose solutions and assist with proposals Lead projects technically, generating design specifications and providing guidance and review to other team members Design and specify components for complete test systems (analog and digital circuitry, PCB, harness and power-distribution layouts, safety circuitry) Produce electronic/electrical schematics, wiring schedules and complete documentation packages using Altium or comparable CAD tools Collaborate with manufacturing teams during assembly and test stagesAttend factory and site acceptance tests with customers and review project documentation to ensure quality and compliance Experience Required:Qualification in electronic/electrical engineering and at least 3years design/implementation experience Hands-on experience designing test equipment and interface circuits; National Instruments hardware/software experience is a plus PCB design tools (Altium Designer or similar) and familiarity with power-distribution, harness and safety-circuitry design Ability to manage projects from concept through manufacture and work on a variety of projects simultaneously What we offerFlexible working hours and the option to work from home a couple of days a week Day on a FridayUp to 25 days holiday (negotiable) On-site parking, company pension scheme (5% company / 3% employee), life assurance and cycle-to-work scheme Opportunity to lead projects and manage client relationships; candidates with team-leading experience can progress into a lead engineer or managerial role If you have PCB design, harness design and power-distribution layout experience and if you have analogue and digital interface circuit design experience using Altium or comparable electrical CAD software with National Instruments hardware and software - electronics/electrical engineering principles experience please contact me.
