A UK-based engineering services company is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join its growing team in Peterborough. The role involves end-to-end design of panel and field installations for automated control systems across industrial sites nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design panel layouts, schematics, and LV distribution systems.
\n
• Produce PLC wiring diagrams, I/O schedules, and instrument loop diagrams.
\n
• Conduct safety circuit design and risk assessments (BS EN ISO 13849/60261).
\n
• Create technical documentation and support on-site commissioning.
\n
• Liaise with project and site teams to meet deadlines safely and effectively.
\n

Requirements:

\n
• HNC/BTEC/NVQ3 in Electrical Engineering.
\n
• 18th Edition qualified.
\n
• 5+ years of engineering experience, ideally in industrial or FMCG environments.
\n
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Amtech (or similar).
\n
• Strong understanding of PLC wiring, instrumentation, and safety systems.
\n
• Confident in troubleshooting large control panels and machinery.
\n
