Job Description / Desired Qualifications:

The Electrical Designer 2 position requires 5-7 years of related experience.

Job Responsibilities:

· Collaborating with project teams to understand design requirements and objectives.

· Develop physical designs producing 3D models and design drawings, including system layouts.

· Utilizing Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software (e.g., AutoCAD) to create and modify electrical drawings.

· Maintain proficiency in design software and stay updated on software enhancements, or other applications.

· Extensive 3D modeling experience is strongly , ensuring that electrical designs adhere to industry standards, electrical codes, and regulatory requirements.

· Conduct code reviews and updates as necessary.

· Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineers and architects, to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs, addressing design-related issues and provide design solutions.

· Creating and maintaining organized documentation of electrical designs, including drawings, specifications, and bills of materials (BOMs).

· Preparing technical reports and documentation for project deliverables.

· Performing site walkdowns for field verification and to address constructability.

· Performing quality checks and reviews of electrical designs to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project goals.

Skillsets and Expertise (required):

· Experience as an Electrical Designer or a similar role, with proficiency in CAD software.

· Familiarity with electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE).

· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

· Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality designs.

· Ability to collaborate within a team and with project stakeholders.

· Ability to build effective relationships with plant staff, design engineering staff and/or vendors.
