Job Description
Shift Engineer – Kensington – £50,000 – £52,000
A leading facilities management provider is seeking a Shift Engineer to support operations at a high-profile commercial building in West London.
This role is well suited to a proactive building services engineer with strong technical knowledge and experience working within large commercial environments, delivering safe, efficient, and reliable building operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate, maintain, and monitor mechanical and electrical building services Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works Respond to faults, alarms, and building issues in a timely manner Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and site procedures Support daily building operations and tenant requirements Liaise with specialist subcontractors and service partners Complete accurate maintenance records, reports, and shift handovers Assist with emergency response procedures
Requirements:
Experience working within a commercial building or corporate environment Electrical or mechanical engineering background Good working knowledge of HVAC, pumps, AHUs, lighting, and power systems Relevant engineering qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent) Comfortable working on a shift pattern Strong fault-finding and communication sk
