Electrical Engineer

T2M Resourcing are recruiting for an Electrical Engineer on behalf of a growing engineering business to be a part of the new product development and customer projects team.


The Electrical Engineer role will balance schematic design, PLC development, and prototyping of control panels, variable drives, and packaged solutions.


The ideal candidate will have a passion for engineering and be driven towards having an impact within the business.


Key duties of an Electrical Engineer:

  • Electrical schematic design and development.
  • Prototyping and build work of initial concepts.
  • Testing and EMC certification process management.
  • PLC development and integration.
  • Generate Bills of Materials and production documentation.
  • Produce documentation/instructions for wiring and assembly.
  • Understand and work to EMC compliance/UK safety regulations for LV machinery.
  • Verification and validation testing.
  • Ensure safety and design for manufacture is at the heart of electrical engineering.


Requirements to be successful as an Electrical Engineer:

  • Passionate about engineering.
  • Degree or equivalent in Electrical or Power Systems Engineering.
  • Experience in professional electrical engineering roles.
  • Previously taken products from concept to production phase – NPD projects
  • Knowledge of low voltage electrical systems, industrial machinery, and control panels.
  • Capable of developing PLC controls and integrating to wider systems.
  • Confident in utilising electrical CAD packages such as Solidworks or EPLan.
  • Understanding of electrical safety standards for the UK as well as EMC Compliance.
  • Strong problem solving skills, able to develop new solutions.


This role will be based from the production, design, and testing facility in Gloucestershire however will include travel to client sites and therefore a UK Driving License is essential for the role.
