Job Description
Electrical Estimator – Renewable Energy & Infrastructure
Location: Central Belt, Scotland
Employment Type: Full-time (Hybrid working available; site and office visits required)
Sector: Civil Engineering – Renewable Energy & Infrastructure Projects
Salary: Competitive + Annual Performance Bonus
About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join a growing pre-construction and tendering team. This is a key role in supporting ambitious growth plans and involves preparing accurate, competitive tenders for engineering projects, with a strong emphasis on renewable energy and wind farm developments. You’ll work closely with the Construction Manager and Project Delivery Team to ensure pricing strategies align with project objectives and market competitiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates for engineering projects
Price from first principles with precision and accuracy
Manage workload to meet strict tender deadlines
Price both in-house labour/plant and subcontractor packages
Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders throughout the tender process
Maintain and update estimating software and cost databases
Requirements
Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Quantity Surveying
Minimum 3 years’ experience in electrical estimating
Proven ability to price from first principles
Strong technical knowledge of projects ranging from £200K to £10M
Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office
Full UK driving licence
Full UK Working Rights
