DCT Recruitment are seeking an Electrical Estimator Trainee to join our client to prepare accurate estimates for projects by gathering information and analyzing important metrics. This role will involve reviewing blueprints, schematics, or design documents, and calculating the total cost of labor, materials, equipment, and permits required for a project.

The ideal applicant will already be a qualified electrician and should be a Certified Professional Estimator (CPE), or have previous experience as an electrician.

Responsibilities:

Analyzing and comprehending proposal specifications, drawings, schedules, and all other pertinent project documents. Estimating labor, material, and time requirements to be able to compute the overall cost of projects. Preparing, documenting, and submitting formal bid proposals to clients. Communicating with suppliers, contractors, clients, and the internal team to discuss and formulate accurate estimates. Maintaining a comprehensive and updated database of all estimation documentation for reference. Conducting site visits and gathering all necessary data for accurate estimation. Identifying and quantifying potential cost uncertainties to ensure costing models capture the full range of potential costs.
