Role: Electrical Field Service Engineer

Location: Field Based - South of England

Salary: Up to £40,000 depending on experience

We are seeking an experienced and electrically biased Electrical Field Service Engineer to join our growing team. This is a field-based role covering the South of England, involving installation, commissioning, servicing, and fault-finding on a range of electrical and control equipment.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment and must be flexible to travel and stay overnight as required to meet business needs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Installation, commissioning, and servicing of electrical and electro-mechanical equipment
  • Fault finding and repair of three-phase and single-phase systems
  • Diagnosis and troubleshooting of electrical control equipment
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Mechanical installation work where required, including plastic pipe-work
  • Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures and industry regulations
  • Completing service reports and documentation accurately and promptly
  • Providing professional on-site customer support and technical advice
  • Working independently in the field and contributing effectively as part of a wider engineering team

Skills and experience:

  • Proven experience as an Electro-Mechanical Field Service Engineer (electrically biased)
  • Strong knowledge of three-phase and single-phase electrical systems
  • Experience in electrical installation and fault finding
  • Experience working with electrical control equipment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
  • Full, clean UK driving licence
  • Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, 18th Edition, etc.)
