Job DescriptionElectrical Maintenance Engineer – FM Service Provider – Commercial Site – Reading, Berkshire – Up to £45,000 per annum
Exciting opportunity to join an established FM service provider based at a commercial site in Reading, Berkshire. CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to be part of an on-site maintenance team delivering high-quality building services.
The successful candidate will be electrically qualified (C&G / NVQ Level 2 & 3) with a solid understanding of building services. This role is ideal for someone recently qualified who is looking to further develop their knowledge and practical experience within a commercial environment.
In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of up to £45,000, plenty of overtime opportunities, and excellent prospects for training and career progression.
Hours of Work:
- Monday to Friday (40-hour week)
- 07:00 am – 16:00 pm / 08:00 am – 17:00 pm / 09:00 am – 18:00 pm
Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across electrical, mechanical, and fabric systems
\n
Maintain emergency lighting and fire alarm systems
\n
Fault finding across electrical and building services systems
\n
Monitor and operate BMS and electrical monitoring systems
\n
Maintain HVAC systems, including AHUs, FCUs, humidifiers, and chillers
\n
Work on VAV and FCU systems
\n
Maintain domestic water services and carry out plumbing repairs
\n
Service pumps, motors, and variable speed drives
\n
Maintain gas boilers and hot water calorifiers
\n
Carry out water treatment tasks in line with compliance standards
\n
Complete general plumbing works including unblocking toilets and replacing taps
\n
Undertake general building fabric maintenance
\n
Package:
\n
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum
\n
23 days holiday + bank holidays
\n
Overtime available
\n
Call-out rota: 1 in 4 (£105 per week)

Requirements:
\n
Electrical qualification – City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 & 3 (Essential)
\n
Must be able to provide copies of trade certificates
\n
Proven track record in commercial building maintenance
\n
Legionella Awareness (L8 ACOP)
\n
Multi-skilled with a good understanding of building services
\n
Strong communication and client-facing skills
\n
Additional mechanical or AC qualifications (desirable)
