This is an opportunity for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to play a key role in a high-performance manufacturing site where reliability, safety, and continuous improvement are taken seriously. You’ll be part of a skilled engineering team responsible for keeping complex electrical and automated systems running efficiently across a 24/7 operation, directly impacting output, quality, and plant performance.

Job Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality electrical maintenance across production and process equipment to meet site performance targets
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatical and automation issues and implement effective solutions
Carry out planned preventative maintenance activities to reduce downtime and improve asset reliability
Complete electrical setup tasks including machine resets, calibrations, and production support
Test, inspect, and verify electrical systems in line with legislation and internal standards
Support the installation, upgrade, and commissioning of new machinery, electrical panels, and control systems
Work safely at all times using correct isolation procedures, permits, and electrical safety standards
Accurately record work completed, parts used, and maintenance data using CMMS and stores systems
Provide basic mechanical support when required within personal competency
Skills and Experience

Completed a recognised electrical apprenticeship with NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent
Proven experience working as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment
Strong electrical fault-finding capability across PLC-controlled and automated machinery
Confident working on LV distribution systems, control circuits, and pneumatics
Solid understanding of both reactive and planned maintenance strategies
Comfortable using maintenance management systems and digital work recording tools
Knowledge of 17th or 18th Edition wiring regulations would be beneficial

Pay and Benefits

Salary £44,000 per annum plus 10% shift allowance
Rotating shift pattern: 06:00–14:00, 14:00–22:00, 22:00–06:00
5 days per week
