Our Client has an immediate requirement for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team at Spalding

The Role:

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor this role will involve responsibility for maintaining a wide range of refrigeration, mechanical and electrical equipment and optimizing / monitoring plant performance.

Duties include:

  • Integrate as part of the Maintenance team to deliver support for operations.
  • Carry out all work keeping safety, quality, and output to the fore.
  • Deliver with the other Maintenance team members a reliable centred maintenance function with best practices including preventative maintenance.
  • Work within the Maintenance team to ensure a proactive approach to maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance data and close out assigned work using the CMMS.
  • Timely and effective trouble shooting of day-to-day equipment and system issues.
  • Willing to cover ( paid ) On Call

The Person:

The successful candidate will also need to satisfy the following:

Criteria:

  • Electrical / Mechatronic Time served Apprenticeship with junior or senior trade qualification or equivalent
  • Experience working in facilities and in a cold store environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to apply engineering principles in a practical application

Core hours of work: 08.30 to 5.00pm Monday to Friday, 8.30 to 4.00PM and weekends on a rota basis

Pay is based around a salary of £46,000 but paid hourly approx £19 per hour based on a 48 hour week. Any oncall out of hours or overtime is paid.
