Your new company
You'll be joining a major UK operator within the heavy industrial and port‑related sector. The business manages large-scale plant and equipment, ensuring safe and efficient movement and processing of materials. You'll be part of a dedicated engineering function focused on maintaining high levels of reliability, safety and operational performance.

Your new role
As an Electrical Technician, you'll carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of plant, machinery and control systems. Working both independently and as part of a team, you'll ensure equipment remains safe, reliable and compliant with site procedures.Key responsibilities include:

Performing hands‑on maintenance, fault‑finding and repairs on electrical systems and industrial machinery
Responding efficiently to unplanned breakdowns to minimise downtime
Isolating equipment safely and following site permit‑to‑work processes
Updating job cards, maintenance logs and reporting any parts or materials required
Supporting continuous improvement and contributing to operational planning
Collaborating closely with engineering, operations and external contractors
Maintaining a strong personal safety culture and promoting safe working practicesWhat you'll need to succeed

NVQ Level 3 in an electrical discipline plus a completed apprenticeship
A HNC or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
