Zenith People are working with our client who are an established manufacturer and are looking to welcome a time-served Maintenance Technician into their team on a permanent basis. This is an opportunity to become a key part of a high‑performing maintenance team within a well‑established manufacturing environment. You’ll play a central role in keeping critical equipment running safely, efficiently, and reliably—directly influencing production performance and helping drive continuous improvement across the site.

Duties Include
*
Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of equipment (multi‑skilled focus).
*
Responding to breakdowns quickly and safely to minimise downtime.
*
Working closely with Plant Engineering on improvement projects and upgrades.
*
Supporting manufacturing teams with process changes and technical input.
*
Ensuring the CMMS is accurate, up to date, and used effectively.
*
Creating and delivering PM schedules to improve equipment reliability.
*
Contributing to root‑cause analysis and long‑term corrective actions.
*
Identifying opportunities to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
*
Managing spare parts, ordering, and stock control.
*
Producing clear, effective reporting including 3Cs and data capture.
*
Maintaining high standards of safety, including lock‑out/tag‑out procedures.
Qualifications & Experience Required
*
HNC in an engineering discipline (ideally Electrical) or a recognised Apprenticeship.
*
Experience in a similar maintenance role, ideally within a fast‑paced or automotive environment.
*
Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance capability.
*
PLC knowledge and experience with Manufacturing Control Systems (MCS).
*
Experience with injection moulding equipment is highly desirable.
*
A proactive approach, high standards of workmanship, and strong communication skills.
*
Solid understanding of maintenance safety systems and best practices.
