Job Description
Electrical Plant Workshop Engineer – £40,000 + Excellent Benefits
Benefits
£40,000 salary
Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm
24 days holiday + bank holidays

About the Role
Join a hands-on engineering team where you'll play a key part in preparing, maintaining, and improving our market-leading plant equipment. This role offers variety, technical challenge, and the chance to work with customers, field engineers, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Install safety systems, calibrate equipment, and test plant specifications
Prepare plant for sale, including decals, testing, and paint touch-ups
Complete PDI inspections on incoming and outgoing machinery
Refurbish and repair older machines
Diagnose faults and equipment defects
Support field engineers with diagnostics
Assist Training staff with customer engineering training
Provide technical support to R&D teams
Support Dealer network with maintenance and testing
Maintain engineering, H&S, and customer service records
Skills & Experience
Electrical engineering experience (12/24v DC automotive or plant systems)
CAN bus knowledge (ideal but not essential)
Level 2 or 3 engineering qualification
Strong attention to detail and consistent workmanship
Ability to follow electrical and hydraulic diagrams
Confident fault-finding and problem-solving
Customer-facing communication skills
IT and administrative competence
Full driving licence
Team-focused approach
