Electrical Project Engineer

Due to continued growth, a leading engineering contractor is seeking a driven Electrical Project Engineer to join their team on projects based in Kettering.

The role will report to the Site Electrical Project Manager and will involve daily coordination with suppliers, site supervisors, project managers, EHSQ advisors, and subcontractors to support the successful delivery of electrical installations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all works are carried out and managed in accordance with the company’s Integrated Management System.
  • Manage site QA/QC procedures, including issuing weekly and monthly QA/QC reports.
  • Contribute to weekly progress reports for project tracking.
  • Manage, review, and coordinate project drawings as required.
  • Provide technical guidance to subcontracted staff on project-related electrical installations.
  • Raise Requests for Information (RFIs) where technical clarification is required.
  • Ensure compliance with site requirements and health & safety regulations.
  • Apply troubleshooting techniques to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Maintain accurate document control, ensuring all project logs are up to date.
  • Prepare handover documentation and system test packs for project completion.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
  • Experience providing technical support to project management and installation teams is desirable.
  • Self-motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluent in English.
