Job Description
Electrical Project Manager\n\nLocation: Canary Warf office: Dartford\nSalary: Up to £75,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance + package\nReporting to: Operations Director\n\nOverview\n\nAn established and growing M&E contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of electrical building services projects from initial handover through to completion.\n\nThis role is responsible for the commercial, technical, and operational management of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will lead project teams, coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, and maintain strong relationships with clients and main contractors throughout the project lifecycle.\n\nProjects typically range in value from £100,000 to £5 million, across a variety of commercial and construction environments.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nTake full ownership and accountability for electrical project delivery, from estimating handover through to final completion and client training.\n\nManage all aspects of project performance including programme, budget, quality, and resource planning.\n\nAct as the main point of contact for clients, main contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.\n\nPlan and coordinate the deployment of labour, materials, and subcontractor resources to ensure efficient project delivery.\n\nDevelop and manage detailed project programmes, ensuring milestones and deliverables are achieved.\n\nMonitor project progress and proactively identify risks or delays, implementing corrective actions where necessary.\n\nManage changes in project scope, preparing and submitting variations and revised budget proposals where required.\n\nPrepare and maintain weekly cost control reports, monitoring financial performance against project budgets.\n\nProduce and issue regular progress reports to stakeholders.\n\nCoordinate the activities of internal teams, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure projects are delivered according to plan.\n\nMaintain strong client relationships, supporting long-term business partnerships and repeat work opportunities.\n\nSkills & Behaviors\n\nExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal.\n\nStrong commercial awareness with the ability to identify risks and manage project finances effectively.\n\nHighly organised with the ability to manage multiple project priorities and deadlines.\n\nStrong problem-solving ability and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.\n\nConfident leader and team coordinator, capable of motivating site teams and subcontractors.\n\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to high quality project delivery.\n\nCompetent with project management and reporting software, as well as standard office systems.\n\nExperience & Qualifications\n\nMinimum 5 years’ experience in an Electrical Project Manager or similar role within the M&E or construction sector.\n\nProven track record of successfully delivering electrical building services projects.\n\nExperience working on fast-track fit-out or commercial construction projects is highly desirable.\n\nDegree, HND, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering .\n\nAdditional project management qualifications (such as PRINCE2, APM, or similar) would be advantageous.\n\nStrong understanding of electrical building services systems, installations, and project delivery processes
