Project Manager / Senior Electrical Project Manager – Building Services Location: Northampton (UK‑wide travel) Salary: Up to £60,000 + Car + Benefits This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead complex electrical building‑services projects across commercial, public‑sector and specialist environments. You will manage electrical installations, upgrades, refurbishments, compliance works, energy‑efficiency improvements and wider building‑services electrical packages. You will be responsible for technical delivery, site leadership, safety, compliance and client satisfaction across all electrical workstreams. Key Responsibilities: * Manage electrical building‑services projects from planning to commissioning and handover. * Create programmes, resource plans, procurement schedules and project documentation. * Lead teams of electricians and specialist subcontractors across installation and commissioning. * Ensure electrical compliance with BS 7671, testing and inspection standards, and safety regulations. * Oversee RAMS creation, CDM compliance and site‑based safety leadership. * Conduct technical reviews, quality checks, test results, commissioning activities and final sign‑off. * Manage project costs, variations, procurement, value engineering and reporting. * Maintain strong communication with clients through updates, reports and review meetings. * Senior PMs will take responsibility for higher‑value or multi‑site projects and mentor junior staff. Candidate Profile: * Proven experience in electrical project management within building services or commercial electrical installations. * Solid technical understanding of electrical systems, testing, compliance and installation standards. * Ability to manage teams, subcontractors, commissioning, technical queries and safety requirements. * Strong organisational, planning and commercial management skills. * Experience delivering energy‑efficiency, lighting upgrades or sustainable electrical solutions is advantageous. * ECS/CSCS, SSSTS/SMSTS, City & Guilds electrical qualifications and 18th Edition are beneficial.
