Electrical Quality Engineer – Contract Opportunity

Belcan Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical Quality Engineer to support a major, highly regulated project based in Reading. This is a 7-month contract offering the opportunity to work on complex electrical systems within a safety-critical environment, where quality, compliance, and attention to detail are essential.

In this role, you will be responsible for assuring that all electrical installations and activities meet strict regulatory, project, and industry standards. As an Electrical Quality Engineer, you will work closely with engineering, construction, and commissioning teams to verify compliance, manage inspections, and maintain robust quality records throughout the project lifecycle.

The Electrical Quality Engineer position is ideal for professionals with strong experience in regulated environments who are looking to apply their expertise on a technically challenging contract while contributing to a strong safety and quality culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and verify electrical installations against specifications and regulations
• Review drawings, test results, certifications, and quality documentation
• Support Inspection & Test Plans and commissioning activities
• Identify non-conformances and support corrective actions
• Compile and maintain Lifetime Quality Records (LTQRs)

Essential Requirements

• Recognised electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
• City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing
• City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition)
• Experience in electrical quality, inspection, or commissioning roles
• Ability to meet UK Security Clearance requirements
