Electrical Site Supervisor – Derbyshire (Automation system background is essential) Rate: £380
The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role. - £400 per day (Outside IR35) Initial 2-3 month contract (Monday to Friday 0700 – 1700) ECS Card Required The Electrical Supervisor will oversee electrical installations and snagging activities for a complex automation project.
The ideal candidate will ensure safe, high-quality installations of electrical systems while supervising a team of electricians on-site.
This role requires a strong background in electrical installations, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, automation warehousing, and project management in the context of complex automation systems.
Key Responsibilities: Supervise the installation, commissioning, and snagging of electrical systems for the automation project.
Ensure data and electrical installations are completed accurately and to specification.
Enforce strict adherence to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures to maintain on-site safety.
Oversee implementation of LOTTO (Lockout Tagout) and Management Lock & Tag protocols.
Manage and coordinate electrical work in automation warehousing, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Provide leadership and guidance to the electrical team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to specification.
Prepare daily/weekly reports on electrical progress, issues, and resolutions, ensuring accurate documentation.
Maintain a safe working environment, complying with all health, safety, and environmental standards.
Requirements: Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor with a strong background in automation projects and snagging activities.
Extensive experience in data and electrical installations for complex automation systems.
In-depth knowledge and practical experience with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, LOTTO, and Management Lock & Tag protocols.
Strong understanding of automation warehousing and electrical control systems (ECS).
ECS Manager card or CSCS Manager certification.
Valid SSTS or SMSTS certifications.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
