Electrical Supervisor

An established engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to support the delivery of a major MEP package for a development in Southwark. The role will oversee electrical works across the Shell & Core and Cat A fit-out phases, ensuring quality, safety, and programme targets are achieved on a high-profile London project.

Key Responsibilities

* Supervise day-to-day electrical installation works across the project.

* Coordinate labour, subcontractors, and material deliveries to maintain programme.

* Ensure electrical installations comply with project specifications, drawings, and UK regulations.

* Conduct site inspections and quality checks to maintain high installation standards.

* Manage health & safety compliance and promote a safe working environment.

* Work closely with the project management team and other MEP disciplines to ensure coordination.

* Monitor progress and report on site activities, delays, or technical issues.

* Assist with commissioning preparation, testing, and handover documentation.

Requirements

* Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor on large commercial construction projects.

* Strong experience delivering MEP installations within Shell & Core and Cat A fit-out environments.

* Solid knowledge of BS 7671 and UK electrical installation standards.

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

* SSSTS or SMSTS certification preferred.

* ECS / JIB Gold Card or equivalent electrical qualification.

* Strong organisational and communication skills.

Desirable

* Experience on high-rise office or large commercial developments.

* Previous involvement in central London projects.

* Familiarity with commissioning and project handover processes.
