A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced test engineer to join a leading manufacturing company who will be shortly opening a state of the art test centre ensuring they are leading the way in manufacturing excellence.\n\nJob Description: \n\nConduct all test activities in line with established Health & Safety regulations, relevant industry standards and best practice industry standards, ensuring the safety of all employees;\nConduct production testing of finished goods;\nGenerate accurate production test sheets for all products. Ensure completed test records are filed and maintained as required;\nCarry out fault finding, diagnostic and test calculations as required.\nConduct routine and type testing (Noise, Temperature Rise, Partial Discharge, impulse, etc.) as required by Customer specifications;\nConduct customer witnessed testing and act as point of contact for all customer appointed inspectors during site visits;\nGenerate and validate test certificates for internal and customer end user documentation reports;\nGenerate inter-departmental reports, liaise with Design and Production functions to ensure best practice design & production methods;\nMaintain up to date files for Test Specifications and Electrical Regulations;\nEnsure all test equipment has an in-date calibration certificate, is free from damage and capable of conducting the test at hand;\nDirect involvement in managing client relationships, assisting with and providing support and technical knowledge where required.Beneficial Skills / Qualifications:\n\nGCSEs High school or equivalent\nElectrical / Electronic City & Guilds Apprenticeship 2381, 2391\nWill have prior experience Transformer Testing:- \nEarth testing\nElectrical pressure testing\nLive system testing\nSafe operation / protection of electrical power systems\nWill have prior experience of Power Generator Testing \nRotating alternator test\nStatic resistance / insulation test\nPMG testing\nBe flexible as the job may involve unsociable hours;\nGood communication skills and the ability to connect naturally with people;\nTo be able to work well using own initiative and as part of a team;\nAbility to ensure the work gets done in a timely and effective manner;\nAbility to follow all Company policies and procedures;\nAbility to understand and implement written and verbal instructions given;\nSelf-motivated
