Henley recruitment are recruiting an experienced Electrical Tester for a new-build medical facility project in King’s Cross. This role is focused on dead testing during a critical phase of construction, ensuring all electrical installations meet the highest safety and compliance standards.
Job Description
Key responsibilities include:
* Performing dead testing on circuits, distribution boards, and associated electrical infrastructure
* Completing test sheets accurately and submitting documentation in line with project requirements
* Identifying faults, non‑compliances, or installation issues and reporting them promptly
* Working safely and efficiently within a live construction environment
* Liaising with the site team to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to deadlines
* Maintaining high standards of professionalism, safety, and technical accuracy throughout the project
This is a site‑based role requiring strong attention to detail, a methodical approach, and confidence in interpreting electrical drawings and test results. The project environment is fast‑paced, so reliability and clear communication are essential.
Requirements To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
* 2391 Testing & Inspection (or 2394/2395 equivalent)
* A valid JIB/ECS card appropriate for the role
* Own calibrated testing equipment, with proof of calibration
* Strong understanding of BS 7671 and current electrical regulations
* Previous experience performing dead testing on commercial or new‑build projects
* Ability to work independently and produce accurate, compliant documentation
* Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem‑solving
