Electrical Workshop Supervisor I Permanent I Speke, Liverpool\n\n\n\nWe’re looking for an experienced Electrical Workshop Supervisor to lead a growing workshop team in Liverpool, where you’ll combine technical Electrical expertise with team leadership to deliver high-quality workshop services.\n\nThis is a hands-on supervisory role, ideal for someone with strong industrial/commercial electrical experience and a background in team leadership. The role combines planning and coordination responsibilities with mentoring and supervising a team, currently made up of Electricians, Mechanics, Assemblers, and Drivers.\n\nThe ideal candidate will be organised, solutions-focused, and able to maintain high standards across electrical compliance, installation quality, and workshop output.\n\nKey Duties & Responsibilities\n\nPlan and coordinate electrical and mechanical workloads in the workshop, scheduling jobs, resources and priorities in line with project deadlines.\n\nSupervise a team of Technicians including Electricians, Mechanical fitters, and Panel repair engineers.\n\nEnsure all electrical works comply with BS7671 and company standards, completing electrical testing and certification accurately and on time.\n\nOversee electrical and mechanical installations in control containers, ensuring they meet IEE regulations and project specifications.\n\nSupport calibration of electrical test equipment and maintain a strong focus on health and safety within the team.\n\nMonitor HGV driver hours and services, ensuring compliance with driving regulations.\n\nWork closely with the wider branch and operational teams to support material orders, transport logistics, and productivity goals.\n\nSkills & Experience Required\n\nECS Gold Card (Installation Electrician) and City & Guilds 2391 Test & Inspection.\n\nProven experience in a supervisory electrical role, ideally in a commercial, construction or utilities-based environment.\n\nExperience completing electrical test certificates to BS7671 and overseeing electrical installation works.\n\n18th Edition Wiring Regulations.\n\nIOSH Managing Safely qualification (or willingness to work towards).\n\nExcellent time management and organisational skills.\n\nAEMT training and experience working with ATEX equipment – desirable\n\nStrong understanding of workshop processes, purchasing and inventory management.\n\nConfident problem-solver who can maintain standards and support team performance.\n\nFull UK Driving Licence\n\n\nSummary\n\nPosition:            \t\tElectrical Workshop Supervisor\n\nLocation:           \t\tLiverpool\n\nDuration:      \t\t\t\tPermanent, full-time\n\nSalary:                \t\t£45,000 - £50,000\n\nThis is a great opportunity to join a reputable engineering company, taking on a leadership role where you can have a real impact on workshop delivery and standards.\n\n Interested?
