Polyfoam XPS is seeking atime-served, electrically biased Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technicianto join our maintenance team at our Hartlepool manufacturing plant. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced production environment, playing a key role in maintaining and improving plant reliability and performance.

This position operates on a12-hour shift pattern, covering days and nights, 7 days per week 4 on / 4 off

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs on a range of extrusion, automation, plant and facilities equipment.
• Diagnose and fault-find on electrical systems, including PLCs, control panels, drives, and motors
• Mechanical maintenance tasks including hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and rotating equipment.
• Minimise downtime and ensure plant efficiency.
• Assist in continuous improvement and reliability projects.
• Installation and commissioning of new capital equipment on-site.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company H&S procedures
• Maintain accurate maintenance records via MMS.

About You

• Time-served apprenticeshipin Electrical Engineering (essential)
• Electrically biased with strong fault-finding skills
• Extensive experience within a manufacturing or similar industrial environment
• Knowledge of PLC fault finding (Siemens desirable)
• 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations preferred
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
• Flexible approach to shift work (12-hour shifts including nights)
• Strong team player with a proactive attitude
• Desire to progress within the organisation
