Job Description
Shift Electrical Craftsperson\nLocation: Birmingham\nSalary: £28,000 - £34,000 (Base)\nTotal Earnings (Shift): £34,160 - £41,480 (Includes 22% shift allowance)\n\nShift Pattern: 4-on / 4-off (2 Days: 7am-7pm | 2 Nights: 7pm-7am | 4 Days Off)\n\nWe are seeking a qualified Electrical Craftsperson to join our Estates & Facilities team. This is a critical role ensuring the safety and operational efficiency of a high-standard [Commercial/Healthcare] environment. Unlike many site roles, this position offers a consistent rotation with no on-call requirements, allowing for a genuine work-life balance.\n\nThe Role\nYou will be responsible for a variety of reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks.
The work is diverse and keeps you moving across the site. Key responsibilities include:\n\nReactive Repairs: Responding to trip circuits and electrical faults.\nCompliance: Testing and maintaining emergency lighting systems.\nGeneral Maintenance: Installing and repairing light fittings, sockets, and general small power.\nSpecialist Systems: Maintenance of Nurse Call systems and associated healthcare electrical infrastructure.What We Need From You\nWe are looking for a professional with a solid background in Commercial FM or Construction. Please note: we are currently unable to consider candidates with purely domestic experience.\n\nEssential Qualifications:\n\nTime-served Apprenticeship in a relevant electrical discipline.\n18th Edition Wiring Regulations.\nAM2 Certificate (or a JIB Gold Card for those who qualified prior to the current AM2 standards).\n\nRandstad CPE values and promotes equality.
