Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrical Journeyman to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and executing a variety of electrical installations while upholding the highest standards of workmanship, safety, and customer service. A work van will be provided to you and you will be responsible for completing residential electrical installations, troubleshooting, and more in a solo environment.

An example of a typical day on the job would be traveling to 1-3 clients residential homes and performing an installation or service call. This position is paid hourly which includes your drive time (some jobs may be 2 hours away, but only take 2 hours to complete. In this event you would be paid for all 6 hours of time 'worked').

Attention to detail and problem solving MUST be top tier.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and complete residential and commercial electrical installations Perform rough-in, trim-out, and service work in compliance with the NEC and local codes Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and job scopes ahead of scheduled work Maintain clean and safe job sites at all times Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and inspectors Track tools, materials, and time accurately and honestly

Scheduling & Time Management

Standard hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Flexibility in start/end times may be allowed with approval Travel to various job site locations (work van provided)

Compensation & Benefits

Overtime: 1.5x base rate for hours worked beyond 40/week Raises: Performance-based, subject to company growth and negotiation Resources Provided: Code books, training materials, exam prep courses upon request Health Insurance & Additional Benefits: Available upon discussion Time Off: No PTO currently offered; unpaid time off available with 2-week advance notice

Experience

Must have Journeyman license or pass the exam before start date. Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician is required. Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams. Experience working within residential homes. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential. Ability to work independently.
