Electrician Mate / Improver – ME & I Group

Salary: Ranges from £16-£20 per hour depending on experience
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

We’re now seeking a motivated Electrician Mate / Improver to join our ME & I Group, working on varied and exciting projects across the UK.
The Role
As an Electrician Mate / Improver, you’ll support qualified electricians on-site, assisting with the installation, servicing, testing, and commissioning of low voltage electrical and instrumentation systems.
You’ll work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and site supervisors to deliver high-quality results while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and safety.
Typical duties include:

Assisting in electrical installations to BS7671 standards.
*
Supporting installation, service, and repairs of low voltage electrical control systems.
*
Helping with commissioning of instrumentation (pressure, level, temperature, flow).
*
Assisting with inspection and testing, and supporting documentation for compliance (NICEIC, ECA).
*
Using basic IT skills for communication and record-keeping.
What We’re Looking For
*
Essential: ECS Card, First Aid, PASMA, IPAF.
*
Basic IT literacy and willingness to learn.
*
Good written and verbal communication skills.
*
Ability to organise time effectively and work as part of a team.
*
Positive attitude, reliability, and a strong commitment to safety.
*
Water industry experience is desirable but not essential.
