Salary: £45,000-£55,000 (dependant on experience)
We are looking for a competent and reliable electrician to join our team, working primarily on solar PV installations across residential projects.
This role is hands-on and site-based. It would suit someone who is confident in their electrical ability, takes pride in their work, and is comfortable working in a small, fast-moving business where standards matter.
You will be involved in the installation, testing and commissioning of solar PV systems, along with associated electrical works. While prior solar experience is helpful, it is not essential. We are more interested in solid electrical fundamentals and a willingness to learn.

Installing and connecting solar PV systems
Carrying out testing, inspection and commissioning in line with current regulations
Fault finding and resolving electrical issues efficiently on site
Ensuring all work is compliant with BS 7671 and relevant health and safety requirements
Supporting with general electrical works related to renewable installations
Working alongside roofers and other trades to deliver complete installations
Keeping clear records of works completed, materials used and any issues encountered
What we’re looking for
Qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
18th Edition (BS 7671)
Experience in installation and testing of electrical systems
Confident fault-finding ability
Able to work independently and take ownership of jobs
Practical, organised and detail-focused
Full UK driving licence
Strongly desirable
Level 3 Award in the Installation and Maintenance of Small Scale Solar Photovoltaic Systems (or willingness to undertake this shortly after joining)
Solar PV installation experience
2391 Inspection & Testing
Manual Handling certification
Working at Height certification
Asbestos Awareness certification
Experience working on domestic and/or small commercial sites
About us
We are a renewable installations company focused on solar PV and related technologies. The business has grown quickly and we are building a team that can deliver consistent, high-quality work as we scale.
We take compliance, safety and environmental standards seriously, and we expect a high standard of workmanship across all installs. At the same time, we are a small team, so flexibility, accountability and a straightforward approach matter.
We offer a supportive working environment with practical benefits, including:
Fuel card for work travel
Company pension
Employee referral scheme
28 days annual leave
Support for further training and qualifications, particularly in renewables
Opportunities to move into or develop within the renewables sector
Teambuilding and social events
This role would suit someone who wants to build a longer-term career in renewables, and who is comfortable working in a business that is still developing its systems and team.
