Working for a Maintenance Contractor

Based at one location on the Isle of Sheppey

Temp role 36 days minimum + Option to extend

You will be working for a driven and forward-thinking contractor who have multiple contracts with the Prison service and their supporting facility providers. Here they carry out planned preventative maintenance, daily repairs and maintenance, emergency repair work, refurbishment and minor construction work. And due to increased contract wins they are looking for electricians to carry out emergency lighting installs in a secure facility close to Sheerness.

Important good to knows

* Due to the nature of the facility, you will need to pass a security and criminal record check

* The facility is a secure unit and therefore personal items (mobile phones) will not be allowed past security checks daily

* There will be a key holder in each team and as a team you will be responsible for the safe movement, use, storage and removal of a work tool chest and required materials to complete set works

* The facility could be challenging environment for some due to it’s secure nature and security checks, so you must be happy working in and around a secure facility which houses inmates
