Engineering Technician (Electrical)

Permanent | 37.5 Hours per Week
Salary: Up to £41,000 per annum
(Dependent on experience, training, and qualifications)

We have an excellent opportunity for an Engineering Technician to join a well-established and professional team, supporting the maintenance and safe operation of site services.

This role would suit a qualified Electrical Engineer or Technician looking for a stable, long-term position with a strong emphasis on compliance, safety, and proactive maintenance.

Key Requirements
  • 18th Edition (or 17th Edition considered)
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an electrical discipline
  • Proven experience in PPM and reactive maintenance
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team
  • Strong health & safety awareness
Role & Responsibilities
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs
  • Supporting site compliance activities and statutory inspections
  • Working alongside and supervising external contractors
  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs in a timely manner
  • Ensuring all works are completed in line with health & safety requirements
  • Participating in the on-call rota (typically 1 week in 4)
Working Hours & Benefits
  • Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day
  • Standard working hours typically:
    • 8:00am 4:00pm or
    • 9:00am 5:00pm
  • Flexibility required to meet operational demands
  • Occasional weekend work for out-of-hours repairs or project support
    (Overtime or time off in lieu provided)
  • On-call allowance: £135 per week
  • Additional call-out payments on top of allowance
