My client is a Bedford based electrical contractor delivering high-quality installations across the UK. They specialise in commercial refurbishment projects within the leisure and hospitality sector, including pubs, golf courses, and hotels, alongside education and commercial office environments.

Due to clients continued growth and a strong project pipeline, we are seeking experienced Approved Electricians (ECS Gold Card) to join my clients expanding on-site team.

This is a senior, hands-on role suited to professionals who take pride in their work, leads by example, and are confident managing projects on live commercial sites nationwide.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical installations and testing works, ensuring compliance, safety, and exceptional standards throughout.

Key responsibilities include:

· Full electrical installations including containment, cabling, distribution boards, fixtures, and final terminations

· Electrical testing, EICRs, fault finding, and remedial works

· Leading projects onsite and supervising team members where required

· Liaising effectively with other engineers, site managers, and clients

· Ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, to the highest standard and within budget

· Completing all required certifications and documentation accurately

· Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, RAMS, and manufacturer instructions

· Maintaining clean and organised work sites with clear completion reporting

This role involves nationwide travel and occasional working away from home (notice provided in advance).

Essential Qualifications & Requirements

· NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or City & Guilds 2360 / 2330 (Part 1 & 2)

· AM2

· City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations)

· City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 (Inspection & Testing)

· ECS Gold Card (Approved Electrician)

· Full UK Driving Licence (maximum 3 points)

· Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations & EWR 1989

· Willingness to travel and work away when required

Supervisory experience (5+ years) is desirable.

· £20 – £22 per hour (dependent on experience)
