As a Planned Electrical Craftsperson, you'll be the go-to expert for maintaining and repairing electrical systems across our wastewater treatment sites. From pumps and motors to control panels and switchgear, you'll ensure our assets run efficiently and reliably-helping prevent environmental risks and keeping communities safe.
This role offers variety, responsibility, and the chance to develop new skills in a supportive team environment.
Competitive salary: £35,777 - £42,399 per year

What you'll be doing:
  • Carrying out planned maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment across multiple wastewater treatment sites
  • Working with pumps, motors, panels, switchgear, and specialist process machinery
  • Installing new electrical equipment to BS7671 standards
  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical control systems
  • Collaborating with mechanical and electrical colleagues as part of a mobile, multi-skilled team
  • Maintaining high safety standards, including compliance with RAMS and IEE regulations
  • Participate in standby/call-out rota
What we are looking for:
Essentials
  • 5 GCSE's (or equivalent) including Maths, English, and Science at grade C or above.
  • Indentured Apprenticeship in an Electrical discipline
  • Level 3 Modern Apprenticeship in an Electrical discipline
  • Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification e.g. City and Guilds, BTEC, ONC/HNC/HND
  • A full UK driving licence is required
Desirables
  • City & Guilds Inspect and Test 2391-10
  • Up to date with 18th Edition IEE Regulations
  • CompEx 09/10
  • Industrial/Commercial experience required
  • Experience with VSD's, soft starts and motor control systems
  • Understanding of Wiring Diagrams
  • Knowledge of working with Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
  • Good working knowledge of LV systems (working with 415vac down to 24vac and dc control and indication)
