Electromechanical Technician
We are looking for a skilled Electromechanical Technician to join a high-performing manufacturing team working on advanced navigation and sensing equipment. This is a hands-on role focused on the assembly, testing, and refinement of complex electromechanical systems.
The Role
You will be responsible for building and testing high-specification electromechanical products, ensuring they meet strict quality and performance standards. Working closely with engineering and operations teams, you will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and the development of manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Assemble, test, and rework complex electromechanical equipment to a high standard
* Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
* Carry out precision tasks including soldering, wiring, crimping, drilling, and detailed rework of assemblies
* Inspect and verify your own work, as well as supporting quality checks across the team
* Troubleshoot issues and support root cause analysis and resolution
* Contribute to the creation and improvement of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
* Raise and document defects using internal systems
* Accurately input and manage data within company systems
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in line with 5S and quality standards
* Collaborate with team members to drive continuous improvement initiatives
* Support wider operational activities as required
About You
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment
* Strong attention to detail with a methodical and analytical approach to problem-solving
* Hands-on experience with electromechanical assembly techniques
* Good level of PC literacy, including Microsoft Word and Excel
* Proactive team player with strong communication skills
* Ability to work accurately under pressure and manage priorities effectively
Desirable
* Experience within a cellular manufacturing environment
* Exposure to radar, navigation, or similar high-reliability systems
