Electronic Design Engineer (Mixed Signal)
Harwell, Oxfordshire (Hybrid) Full-time | 2 days work from home
We’re supporting an innovative, fast-growing technology business operating at the forefront of quantum systems and advanced sensing. They’re looking to hire an Electronic Design Engineer to support the development of next- hardware platforms moving from R&D into real-world deployment.
This is a hands-on mixed-signal design role working across analogue, digital, RF, and DSP electronics within a highly multidisciplinary engineering environment.
The Role:
Design mixed-signal electronic systems interfacing analogue & digital circuits. Translate system requirements into PCB / PCBA designs Full PCB lifecycle: schematic capture → layout → manufacture Simulation, modelling, and signal integrity analysis Prototype build, debug, and test validation
Essential skills for this Electronic Design Engineer job:
Strong analogue + digital mixed-signal design experience Proven PCB design & layout (Altium or similar) Experience with RF integration within electronic systems Knowledge of DSP (Digital Signal Processing) techniques Hands-on lab testing (oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, etc.)
Desirable
Microcontrollers or FPGA development High-speed digital interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet) Product lifecycle / production exposure
