Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Electronic Design Engineer to join a specialist electronic engineering department, working on advanced and technically complex products across the full product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake board-level electronic design including schematic capture, prototyping, functional testing and proving activities
  • Design and develop analogue and digital electronic solutions to meet demanding technical requirements
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to ensure effective system and sub-system integration
  • Apply development techniques such as circuit simulation and DFMEA to ensure robust and reliable designs
  • Support the product lifecycle from concept and feasibility through to transfer to production
  • Contribute to industrial validation, quality assurance and compliance activities
  • Support continuous improvement, research and capability development within the electronic engineering function
  • At senior level, provide technical guidance, mentoring and leadership across electronic design activities
The ideal candidate would have:
  • Experience in electronic design, development and delivery
  • Exposure to board-level design across analogue and digital technologies
  • Experience working across multiple stages of the product lifecycle
  • Familiarity with complex or safety-critical engineering environments
  • An interest in developing technical leadership responsibility
The ideal candidate must have:
  • Strong problem-solving capability and attention to detail
  • The ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary engineering organisation
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to manage technical challenges and priorities within project environments
