Job Description

Meraki Talent is partnering with an Insurance firm based in the heart of the City looking for an EMEA Payroll & Benefits Specialist.
  
They are looking for someone who has experience managing end to end payroll operations in the UK, Spain and the Netherlands.
  
Payroll Responsibilities

  • Manage monthly payroll processes for the UK, Spain and the Netherlands.
  • Act as the first point of contact for complex payroll and benefits queries.
  • Partner with third-party providers to ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery.
  • Process changes such as new starters, leavers, bonuses, statutory leave/pay, and benefits deductions.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with statutory regulations across all regions.
  • Ownership of employee benefit plans (e.g., pensions, healthcare, income protection, family leave).
  • Reconcile payroll and HR system data regularly.
  • Support year-end processes for European and UK entities.
  
Person Specification
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in European payroll processing, with strong UK payroll exposure.
  • Preference working in Insurance, otherwise Financial Services.
  • Proven background working with ADP Celergo or other major payroll systems.
  • In-depth understanding of statutory payroll obligations and benefit plan administration.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office skills.
  • Organised, proactive, and comfortable managing priorities independently.
  • Collaborative team player who enjoys supporting others and improving processes
