Meraki Talent is partnering with an Insurance firm based in the heart of the City looking for an EMEA Payroll & Benefits Specialist.
They are looking for someone who has experience managing end to end payroll operations in the UK, Spain and the Netherlands.
Payroll Responsibilities
- Manage monthly payroll processes for the UK, Spain and the Netherlands.
- Act as the first point of contact for complex payroll and benefits queries.
- Partner with third-party providers to ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery.
- Process changes such as new starters, leavers, bonuses, statutory leave/pay, and benefits deductions.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with statutory regulations across all regions.
- Ownership of employee benefit plans (e.g., pensions, healthcare, income protection, family leave).
- Reconcile payroll and HR system data regularly.
- Support year-end processes for European and UK entities.
Person Specification
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in European payroll processing, with strong UK payroll exposure.
- Preference working in Insurance, otherwise Financial Services.
- Proven background working with ADP Celergo or other major payroll systems.
- In-depth understanding of statutory payroll obligations and benefit plan administration.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office skills.
- Organised, proactive, and comfortable managing priorities independently.
- Collaborative team player who enjoys supporting others and improving processes
