Operating from our head office, warehouse, and purpose-built training centre in Hertford, we deliver high-quality electrical services while continuously developing and supporting our people.The RoleWe are looking for an experienced and motivated Emergency Lighting Engineer to join our growing team predominantly within London with the core hours being Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00. You will be responsible for carrying out emergency lighting testing, installation, and servicing across a variety of domestic and commercial properties, primarily within social housing and local authority sectorsKey ResponsibilitiesExperience carrying out monthly, quarterly, and annual emergency lighting testsCapability to replace failed equipment (lamps, batteries, ballasts, gear trays, fittings etc.), including first-time rectification within self-certified limitsConfident in documenting all work accurately using Oneserve and/or EasyCertDeliver excellent customer service and professionalism at all timesAdhere to company policies and operational standardsTake part in training and support continuous business improvementCarry out additional duties as required by managementWork safely in accordance with current Health & Safety regulationsWhat Were Looking ForStrong knowledge of the electrical industry and emergency lighting systemsKnowledge of SMART LED lighting systemsProven diagnostic and fault-finding abilityIdentification and reporting of failed equipmentAbility to work as part of a teamAccurate reporting and excellent attention to detailConfident using mobile devices to complete electronic job sheetsGood practical skills and customer communicationPositive attitude, reliability and good timekeepingWhat You Will HaveL3 Diploma in Electrical Installations18th Edition (C&G 2382-18)Full UK driving licence (held for at least 12 months)Knowledge of BS 5266 - Emergency lighting standards (desirable)City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification (desirable)AM2 Assessment (desirable)What We OfferAt Fixatex, we believe great work deserves great rewards.
