Role Details Role / Job Title: Emission CAE Engineer 1D simulation GT-Suite Work Location: UK, Gaydon Mode of Working: Office based (5 days a week) Duration of Assignment: 6 Months The Role As a Lead CAE Engineer to work within virtual engineering for our vehicle and powertrain programs. You'll be responsible for vehicle level analysis to predict tail pipe emissions of gasoline programs. The role requires good understanding of detailed aftertreatment system modelling and engine out emissions & responsible for conducting CAE modelling, analysis and reporting. Key Responsibilities Development of methodologies for engine out emission prediction Develop models for exhaust system to capture altitude and off ambient conditions impact on tail pipe emissions Supporting 1D modelling of vehicle emissions virtual test cases to size the system, support technology selection, provide status and directional support for controls and calibration development Problem solving and issue resolution support related to vehicle emissions predictions Collaboration with internal suppliers of 1D simulation input data as necessary to ensure a value add output
