Employer Engagement Consultant Across Preston, Blackpool & Blackburn £29,995 per year  (25 Days holiday Bank Holidays Pension Scheme) Full-time, Permanent The Role:
This is an opportunity to use your relationship skills to create real second chances. As an Employer Engagement Consultant, you will work at the intersection of business need and social impact. Your focus will be on building strong partnerships with local employers while helping individuals with offending histories move into sustainable employment. You will connect motivated candidates with organisations open to inclusive hiring, offering a recruitment service that works for both sides. This role blends commercial thinking with empathy and resilience. It is about opening doors, not simply filling vacancies. Working closely with employers and internal support teams, you will help people overcome barriers to work while supporting businesses to access committed and job-ready talent. What You’ll Be Doing Build and develop relationships with employers to identify hiring needs and create job opportunities. Proactively engage new businesses through outreach, networking and local engagement. Manage employer partnerships to encourage repeat hiring and long-term collaboration. Promote live vacancies internally and ensure teams are equipped with clear role information. Prepare candidates for opportunities and coordinate interviews. Work with support teams to align training and pre-employment support with employer needs. Keep accurate records in line with data protection and compliance standards.What We’re Looking For Strong relationship-building and communication skills. Experience in sales, recruitment, or employer engagement. Confidence working towards targets in a performance-focused environment. Understanding of inclusive employment and the barriers some individuals face. Ability to influence and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders. Organised, adaptable and comfortable managing multiple priorities. Good knowledge of local labour market trends. Competent IT skills across systems, email and spreadsheets.Due to the nature of this role, you will be a vehicle driver with access to your own vehicle. You will be required to complete an online Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
