Senior Employer’s Agent / Quantity Surveyor – North West / Hybrid – Consultancy\n £55,000 – £60,000 per annum\n 37 hours per week\n Permanent\n\nWe are working with a well-established consultancy to recruit a Senior Employer’s Agent / Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of affordable housing developments across the North West and West Yorkshire.\n\n This is a permanent opportunity driven by increased workload in line with upcoming affordable housing programmes. The successful candidate will take ownership of multiple projects, acting as Employer’s Agent and providing full Quantity Surveying services from inception through to completion.\n\n You will operate with a high level of autonomy while supporting wider business objectives and mentoring junior staff.\n\n Responsibilities\nAct as Employer’s Agent on residential and affordable housing developments\nDeliver full pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying services\nPrepare cost plans, estimates, and cash flow forecasts\nManage procurement processes including tendering and negotiation\nAnalyse tenders and provide detailed reports and recommendations\nAdminister JCT Design & Build contracts\nCarry out risk assessments, value engineering, and cost control\nManage contract administration including variations, EOTs, and final accounts\nBuild and maintain strong client relationships\nSupport and mentor junior surveyors where requiredRequirements\nProven experience acting as Employer’s Agent on residential or affordable housing schemes\nExperience working with Registered Social Landlords (RSLs)\nStrong knowledge of JCT Design & Build contracts\nExperience in tender analysis, procurement, and contract administration\nAbility to manage multiple projects independently\nDegree qualified in Quantity Surveying (BSc or equivalent)\nStrong commercial awareness and financial management skills\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsDesirable\nChartered or working towards (RICS)\nStrong background in affordable housing developments\nExperience in hybrid consultancy environmentsContact: James Glover at Service Care Solutions on (phone number removed) or via email at (url removed)
